SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Defending champion Ken Duke of Selinsgrove drove to his second win of the season in Friday night’s 25-lap micro sprint car main event at Selinsgrove Raceway Park.
Polesitter Duke took command of the race from third-place starter Tyler Snook on a lap four restart and never looked back. Point leader and seventh-place starter Todd Hoover looked for a way around Duke for the duration of the race to no avail.
At the finish, Duke, who became the track’s fourth repeat winner this season, was victorious over Hoover, Snook, Nathan Ritter, and AJ Walters.
Kody Kreamer, Mason Peters, and Steve Sacks took wins in the jr. micro sprint cars, 125 micro sprint cars, and Young Gun micro sprint cars, respectively.
Selinsgrove Raceway Park will present the Firecracker Special for go karts at 6 p.m. Friday, July 3. Track gates will open at 4 p.m. There will be no Micro sprint racing next weekend.
