Polesitter Alan Spriggle powered into the lead at the start of the sprint car feature. Spriggle was trailed by second-place starter Doug Dodson and fourth-place starter Jordan Frontz. On a lap three restart, Scott Messimer's No. 49 got sideways and
collected second-place points driver Pat Cannon. On the ensuing restart, current point leader Blane Heimbach flipped over in his No. 12 after a front axle reportedly broke on his racer.
When the race resumed, Spriggle set the pace with Dodson, Frontz, Larry Kelleher and Bob Beidleman racing in the top five.
On lap 19, misfortune struck young rookie driver Frontz when his No. 19 veered into the frontstretch guardrail and flipped over several times. Frontz climbed from his racer uninjured.
On the lap 20 restart, eighth-place starter Nate Snyder passed Dodson for second and set his sites on race leader Spriggle. Snyder reeled in Spriggle and made the winning pass in turn two on the 22nd lap. Once in front, Snyder began to pull away from the field, posting a 3.87 second margin of victory over Spriggle, Dodson, Kevin Nagy and Jason Shultz.
A multi-car incident occurred in turn four at the start of the late model feature. On the subsequent restart, four-time winner Chris Shuey experienced mechanical problems with his No. 21 late model. When the race restarted, second-place starter Dave Shulski powered into the lead. Shulski was chased by polesitter Bobby Croop for the first eight laps before eight-place starter Jim Yoder advanced to second.
Jeff Rine, whose crew changed engines between qualifying events earlier in the night, moved into the third position with three laps remaining. At the finish, Shulski was victorious over Yoder, Rine, Colby Frye and Chris Wilkinson.
Fourth-place starter Matt Johnson led every lap of the pro stock feature with close competition behind him. On lap four, point leader Gary Beward was involved in a turn three spin and later rejoined the field.
